A bridge, like a city and much like people has a unique character. Having been a believer that form must follow function and after traversing several bridges around the world, I write about the Manhattan Bridge.
There is an undeniable Art Deco elegance to it and an old-world built-to-last feel to it, both incidentally reflecting the essence of New York.
Also incidentally, form here does follow function and there isn’t one thing I think is unaesthetic about it.
